 About Langkawi Island

The Langkawi archipelago is made up of a cluster of 99 islands, sprinkled just off the shores of the Northern Kedah State in Peninsular Malaysia. During low tide, the number of islands expands to 104. It's understandable that only a few islands are inhabited. Many of the islands are little more than rocky outcrops separated by narrow canals where only sampans (little boats) can travel through. Langkawi island (478.5 sq.km) is the largest of them all and is not much smaller than Singapore (646 sq.km) but has a much smaller island population of only 62,000.

Pulau Langkawi is a landscape is painted with marbled mountains, vast paddy fields and rural villages, miles and miles of white sandy beaches, secret caves, and pockets of virgin rainforests dating back millions of years.

Although tourism is the main industry for the people of Langkawi and has been for the past decade or so, the sea remains a healthy source of income for local fishermen. In pockets of local fishing communities one can still find the age-old cottage industry of harvesting, drying and processing of sea cucumbers into balsamic oil for all sorts of minor ailment.

Day : 01 Cochin – Munnar.

On arrival in Cochin Airport/ Eranakulam Railway Station our representative will receive you   and  take to Munnar (140 kms/4hr), the beautiful hill station in South India. On the way visit Valara, Kallar, Cheeyappara waterfalls and Karadippara View Point.  On arrival check into hotel. Night stay at hotel in Munnar.

Day : 02 Munnar.

After breakfast, we provide you a full day sightseeing trip in Munnar.  Visit - Mattupetty  Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, Eravikulam National Park & Tea Plantation. Night stay at hotel in Munnar.

Day : 03 Munnar–Kumarakom.

Check out from the hotel after breakfast, we take you to Kumarakom (190 Kms / 4.5 Hrs). Kumarakom is blessed with backwaters. On arrival visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and later check into hotel. . Night stay at hotel in Kumarakom.

Day : 04 Kumarakom –Houseboat.

Check out from the hotel after breakfast, we take you to Alleppy.   12.00 hrs check into houseboat and start the beautiful backwater cruise.  Rest of the day in boat cruise through the beautiful narrow backwater canals.   Brealfast, lunch, Evening Tea/Coffee with snacks and dinner will bed provided.  Night stay at House Boat.

Day : 05 Houseboat – Kovalam.

0900 Hrs check out from houseboat, we take you to Kovalam (190 Kms / 4.5 Hrs). On arrival check into Hotel. Rest of the day leisure at Kovalam beach. Night stay at hotel in Kovalam.

Day : 06 Kovalam- Trivandrum – Kovalam.

After breakfast, we provide you a full day sightseeing trip in Trivandrum. Visit: The Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Museum, Sri Padmanabha Temple.  Night stay at hotel in Kovalam.

Day : 07 Departure.
